Education
Innovative turfgrass education is the hallmark of the IPTC. Your attendance at the 2007 IPTC demonstrates your professionalism and commitment to advancing yourself and your career. There is simply no better regional meeting than the 2007 IPTC for a vigorous and beneficial exchange of ideas.
Education offered at the 2007 IPTC has been carefully chosen by a group of your peers that knows your needs. The Education Committee encompasses representatives from every turfgrass profession and they actively participate formulating each education program.
Take a look at what the 2007 IPTC Education Sessions offer. You’ll be guided to the most effective and relevant educational offerings to help you and your staff in your professional growth. This year, there are four categories defined by the principle turf profession:
Each category is designed using specific principles, areas of skills and knowledge essential to each successful turf professional. Choose the category that matches your profession and get ready to learn new principles and practices that will help you achieve your professional goals.
Another bonus is the addition of the IPTC Education Skill Levels. Use the Skill Levels to help you determine whether the level of content that will be covered in an educational session is appropriate for someone with your skill/knowledge base.
Fundamental (FUND) - Introduction and examination of the basic concepts and systems essential to the management of fine turf.
Professional (PRO) - Investigation and integration of the best practices to provide solutions and innovative approaches to the tasks and challenges of turf management.
No two paths for professional development are the same. Working off the diverse array of over 60+ educational sessions, the IPTC allows you to create a customized learning experience that is best for you or members of your staff.
In addition, feel free to attend a different category if you see a session that interests you in another profession. Often, there is crossover in the turf industry and the IPTC will help you prepare for any possibility.
